This PHP script (seen in action here) displays images with accompanying texts in thought balloons. I thus run a simple photo webcomic at minimal effort.
I have put the source code under the S-BSD-License.
The output format is SVG, so it doesn’t display in Internet Explorer prior to version 9. When I re-write the script to, for example, serve VML for IE and SVG for other browsers, though, all content (the image and text files) produced for the old script could remain untouched and could then be viewed in IE too. So there is no reason not to begin taking pictures and writing now.
I did attempt to achieve at least minimal SVG Web compatibility, but with little success.
